Our previous meeting space at the Waynesboro Public Library is unavailable for us due to changes in their hours. The club secretary has emailed all members information on upcoming meeting dates and an alternative location. Please make note of this information regarding our new location beginning with the meeting scheduled for 2/14/2022. We anticipate this will be our “standard” location going forward.

Come learn about the rocks in your back yard, the Shenandoah Valley, the rest of Virginia, and all around the world!
In the SVGMS, we have local experts and educators who know rocks, have rocks, and make art out of rocks and are delighted to share this with you.
Each month, we gather for an evening of discussion of all things rock-related, with a program presented by our own or other notable experts for our mutual education and interest in the mineralogy of Virginia and the places we travel.
We would enjoy an opportunity to inspire your curiosity and enhance your knowledge about all things relating to the rocks and minerals around us. We look forward to welcoming you to our club and enjoying your company while we all seek the next interesting thing to be learned as we explore the stories inside rocks.
Please use the menu in the left column or the active links within the site to explore and learn about the SVGMS and what it has to offer to you.
